For decades, our political systems have been shaped by men and there is much work to be done to modernize and evolve our systems. Being a woman parliamentarian, regardless of political stripe, is groundbreaking but also, fraught with challenges that make it hard for women to simply do their jobs.

We want to make sure that you are able to stay and do your work effectively, for all our benefit. We are bringing together a small cohort of first-time elected women and gender-diverse leaders to meet with seasoned leaders, to surface and share best practices for making decision-making political tables more inclusive.

It’s not simply about electing more women and gender-diverse politicians, after all. It’s about entering a space not built for us, leading differently and leading as our authentic selves.

Being part of Our Time to Lead’s Feminist Cabinet provides you with:

• A peer community;

• Resources around successful policies implemented in other parts of the country and world;

• Information to help you navigate challenges around safety, harassment (online and in-person), and toxic cultures; as well as,

• Mentors who have already advanced or promoted policies and practices that make governing more accessible.
  

This pillar of Our Time to Lead will launch after all votes have been counted in the 2025 Federal Election.
