Who We Are

Our Time to Lead has two goals for the 2025 Federal Election:

  1. Support First-Time Candidates: Provide tactical campaign support and a community of care for first-time women and gender-diverse candidates who hold progressive views.

Our Origin

In 2025, we see an urgent need for elected leaders who lead with integrity, strong values, and a genuine commitment to public service. Our founders—having worked behind the scenes in politics across the country—have witnessed firsthand how once safe and brave spaces can be quickly co-opted by right-wing movements. That’s why we’re focused on preserving space for candidates who are here to build a more equitable future.

It’s clear: Canadians are ready and hungry for more representative leadership. We know it makes a profound difference in how we govern. And we’re asking the hard questions — about how we can strengthen our democracy and rebuild trust in systems that were never designed with all of us in mind.

To do this, we must find and support candidates who are committed to gender equity and democratic values, and ensure they are as prepared as possible.

We know there are good people across all political parties. We also know the unique and layered barriers faced by women and gender-diverse leaders. Let’s tackle those challenges together.

Our team is ready to experiment, to incubate new ways of doing politics. We believe there are better, more values-driven approaches to leadership — approaches that reflect what the majority of Canadians truly care about.

With E-Day less than 10 days away, join us. We're connecting with a nimble, cross-country network to ensure women and gender-diverse candidates know they’re seen, supported, and valued—especially at a time when politics needs integrity more than ever.

And beyond this year’s federal election? By 2030, we hope to see more than 40% representation in our federal legislatures.

We hope you do, too.
